JOB DETAILS:
Responsibilities
• Achievement of budgeted food sales, beverage sales, and profitability.
• Participation and input towards F&B Marketing activities with collaboration with the sales manager
• Development and maintenance of all department control procedures & SOP
• Menu planning and pricing for hotel restaurant or special event Menu.
• Assure bar inventory on daily basis, including opening and closing inventories, accurate bar summaries and cash deposits are prepared.
• Assure the maintenance of bar control policies.
• Prepare the daily store requisitions and coordinate with procurement to make sure that enough stock is always available at hotel store. Nafasi za ajira January 2019
• Assure the completion of weekly / Monthly schedule and shift duties
• Completion of monthly inventory and submit to the account department
• Liaise on an on-going basis with the Sales Department and guest relations to ensure all client needs and requirements will be met.
• Work with the Chef, and Food & Beverage Supervisor to ensure all arrangements and details are dealt with.
• Minimize number of customer complaints and provide services that exceed customer expectations.
• Responsible for staff training and development.
• Participation towards overall Hotel Maintenance and cleanliness.
• Works with food and beverage staff to ensure proper food presentation and proper food-handling procedures.
• Schedules periodic food and beverage service staff meetings to ensure correct interpretation of policies and obtain feedback from staff members.
• Arrange for maintenance and repair of equipment and other services
• All other duties as directed by the General Manager or Operations Manager.
Academic qualifications
Essential
• Bachelor’s degree, Degree in the hospitality industry is a plus
Work experience & skills
Essential
• Minimum 3 to 5 years work experience in a 4 to 5 Star Hotel as F&B manager.
• Proficiency in using computer software to monitor inventory, track staff schedules and pay, and perform other record keeping tasks.
• Highly focused, have excellent communication skills
