Responsibilities
• Ensure safe work practices by attending compulsory safety courses and meetings. 
• Work in a team to provide maintenance support to the process plant and mine.
• Provide maintenance support for process equipment including crushers, screens, conveyors, pumps, grinding mills, gravity concentrators, hydro cyclones, flotation cells and pressure filters to maintain optimum performance.
• Monitoring equipment condition and escalating issues to prevent further deterioration.
• Carry out routine maintenance, e.g. greasing/lubrication.
• Carry out repairs and/or modifications to the plant components, including potential small fabrication work. Install, repair, and maintain mechanical equipment’s in safe and reliable condition
• Service various equipment’s machines for infrastructure facilities and Examining bearings.
• Assembling and fittings of various plant equipment’s (pumps, valves and pipes) to improve plant/mine site infrastructure performance.
• Perform scheduled inspections on pumps and Plant/ mine site infrastructure systems
• Performs required maintenance works on pumps and pipe works
• Learn, understand and follow Health, Safety and Security Policies and Procedures

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
• Trade’s qualified as Fitter (FTC, IMMT&VETA)
• Computer Literate – Proficiency in Micro Office products / Basic Computer Skills
• Valid driving license

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
• At least 3 -5 years’ Experience in Fitter role in Mining Industry

SKILLS / KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS:
• Excellent communication in English, both writing and verbal
• Hazard identification and Risk assessment
• Mine health &Safety Act awareness
• Ability to work under pressure with minimum or zero supervision
• Demonstrate Leadership and good teamwork.
• Must be able to solve problems.
• Ability to Read and interpret Service and Spare parts manuals and make technical drawings
