Green View Education Alliance Ltd (GVEA) is a company that deals with the provision of quality and reliable education to Tanzanian citizens. It has three main schools: Green view Kindergarten located at Isamilo in Mwanza town and Green View Primary and Secondary Schools located in Kiseke,Mwanza.The mission of GVEA is to provide quality and affordable education to children by providing them with a conducive learning environment that fosters talents and self-discovery, research and creativity by embracing hard-work, discipline, integrity, self-reliance and religious values to make an all-round and responsible global citizen.

Key responsibilities:
The HR Manager is accountable for:
Human Resource Planning

• Ensure that managers are provided with a framework for making human resource decisions based on the GVEA Business strategic Plan and Framework. Ensure a systematic approach for matching human resources with the future needs of the institution. Skills availability (staffing levels and competencies) Skills retention and Succession planning;
• The role has to ensure that a detailed manpower plan is put in place for the Institution. This manpower plan will include all positions needed for the operation and will cover, amongst others, appropriate designation, staffing levels etc. Organization Design and Development:
• Ensures that the institution and each of its institutions are designed and structured in the most effective and efficient manner for getting work done. Required work to be done and the complexity thereof will be a fundamental criterion in the process;
• Working as a member of a multi-disciplinary team, the HR Manager accountability for the lead on all Human Resources related contributions to the development stages of
• the Institution. The role is accountable to ensure competitive, correct and best HR practices are in place;

Recruitment and Selection Process:

• Develop and put in place a recruitment system and process that will enable GVEA to have the right skills in the right role at the right time during the different phases of the Institution and the operation thereafter;
• Ensure that GVEAconsistently finds and recruits the right person into the right role in the institution. The “right person” is someone with appropriate capability, requisite skilled knowledge and required behaviours and who values the role in the Institution; Remuneration and Compensation Management:
• Understand and put in place a competitive remuneration structure that will attract and retain key skills within the Tanzanian private educational labourmarket;
• Consulting with Finance Manager to assess benefits, compensation and compliance needs;monitoring the payroll process to ensure compliance and data integrity;
• Human Resources Policies and Conditions of Employment
• Ensure that there are appropriate Conditions of Employment for the workforce are in place and relevant with peers in the same labour market;
• Ensure that HR policies and procedures and developed, communicated and implemented throughout the institution. They must be aligned to the country labour legislations and industry best practices;

Performance Management:
• Establishes the framework within which head of institution or managers must ensure the ongoing alignment of individual employee performance with the strategic objectives of the business. This is done to ensure that the employees’ Personal Effectiveness is applied at the level of capability required in the role in which they are employed;
• Develop and put in place a performance management system, process and tools that Managers will use to have regular performance conversations with their subordinates to discuss and record milestones, accomplishments, successes and challenges as they occur in the areas of their accountability;
• Provide annual schedule for conducting employee performance reviews and reporting in line GVEA requirements;

Training and Development:

• Based on the Human resources plan, develop a detailed training model, system and strategy in order to ensure that the appropriate skills are in place for all GVEA institutions;
• Ensure that human resources are appropriately developed and trained. Employees should be offered the opportunity to be developed to their optimum potential to fulfill their roles and consequently be equipped with the relevant knowledge and skills for maximum effectiveness;
• Develop and put in place a Talent Pool management system that will ensure Managerial accountabilities are aligned to present and future needs of key skills and talents in the institution.

Employee Relations and communication

• Develop and put in place a labour relations system, strategy and communication plan that will enable Managers and employees to work together for a health and sound industrial relation environment at GVEA;
• The role has to ensure that all employees are treated fairly and consistently in all matters. Create an environment where employee may express themselves in an appropriate manner;
• Ensure that GVEAcomplies with all labour legislations in Tanzania.

General Administration

• Accountable for all transportation arrangements, GVEA security function, provision of food to students and staff, school cleaning, employees’ welfare, school hostel administration, estate management including all facilities maintenances and management
• The role has to ensure the optimum costs associated with the employee management is managed within the set labour budget and develop costing schedule to assist the institution with the forecasting of labour costs;
• Preparation of HR monthly reports in line with institution schedules

Person Specification:
Qualification

• Graduate in Human Resources Development with post qualifications in business management will be an added advantage;

Experience
• At least 10 -15 years of experiences in human resources management and institutional development preferably in Education field.

Duration of contract:
• Full- time position with annual contracts renewed based on performance.

Level of Education:
Bachelor Degree
