Job Summary
Under the general supervision of the Country Director, the incumbent shall facilitate the achievement of organizational objectives by providing organizational development services, sourcing, developing, managing and retaining quality human resources for the operations of WCS-Tanzania. .
Organization Background:

Working with local communities and organizations, that knowledge is applied to address species, habitat and ecosystem management issues critical to improving the quality of life of poor rural people whose livelihoods depend on the direct utilization of natural resources.
Program Overview:
WCS has been working in Tanzania since 1956 with a unified country program since 2006. WCS has carried out a vast range of activities encompassing training, research, monitoring, institutional and community support, education and creation, extension and management of key protected areas. Parallel Tanzania has un-paralleled wildlife and natural resources. Perched on the crossroads of many of the extensive biomes that cover Africa, it also boasts of the highest and lowest points of the continent; top of Mt. Kilimanjaro and the bottom of Lake Tanganyika. Whilst recognized for its unmatched concentrations of large herbivores, the remarkable diversity of habitats from reefs to montane forests all combine to make Tanzania one of the most biodiverse and natural resources rich nations in Africa.

Programs Officer (Reproductive Health and Adolescents)-Tanzania

Job Summary
The position holder will work closely with diverse teams to formulate and implement specific activities in the annual work plan for the Network in accordance to Focus Africa contractual obligations and internal policies and procedures and provide technical design and management of Sexual Reproductive Health.
Main Duties:
• Support Focus Africa work across the region.
• Support the documentation of periodic reports and activities developed as part of Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights Programs.
• With support from the Focus Africa Lead, work closely with Monitoring and Evaluation Lead to ensure all Focus Africa projects run smoothly.
• Contribute and participate to Focus Africa meaningful and strategic participation in various national. Sub-regional, regional and global spaces.
• Support the implementation of all Focus Africa projects and ensuring quality assurance and standard practices and guidelines are adhered to.
• Represent Focus Africa in different advocacy and influencing space
Academic Qualifications
• Have a bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences, Public Health, Gender, International relations, or any other relevant discipline from a recognized university.
• At least 2 years’ related experience and/or equivalent
• Demonstrate commitment and experience in Focus Africa and/or women’s human rights organizing in Africa in all of its diversity.
• Comfortable with virtual communication – through email, Skype, and social media
• Strong oral and written communication skills to a wide range of audiences
