JOB DETAILS:
Duties and Responsibilities
• Support the development and implementation of HR initiatives and systems
• Provide counselling on policies and procedures
• Be actively involved in recruitment by preparing job descriptions, posting ads and managing the hiring process
• Create and implement effective on boarding plans
• Develop training and development programs
• Assist in performance management processes
• Support the management of disciplinary and grievance issues
• Maintain employee records (attendance, EEO data etc.) according to policy and legal requirements
• Review employment and working conditions to ensure legal compliance
• Update internal databases (e.g. record sick or maternity leave) Prepare HR documents, like employment contracts and new hire guides
• Revise company policies
• Liaise with external partners, like insurance vendors, and ensure legal compliance
• Create regular reports and presentations on HR metrics (e.g. turnover rates)
• Answer employees queries about HR-related issues
• Assist payroll department by providing relevant employee information (e.g. leaves of absence, sick days and work schedules)
• Performs any other related duties as directed by the supervisor.
Skills and Qualifications
• Proven experience as HR officer, administrator or other HR related position
• Knowledge of HR functions (pay; benefits, recruitment, training; development etc.)
• Understanding of labor laws and disciplinary procedures
• Proficient in MS Office; knowledge of HRMIS is a plus
• Outstanding organizational and time-management abilities
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Problem-solving and decision-making aptitude
• Strong ethics and reliability
• A minimum bachelor degree in human resource management or relevant related field from a reputable institution. Further training plus
• HR Credentials will be an added advantage (e.g. PHR from the HR Certification Institute)
