The East African Development Bank (EADB) was established in 1967 with the remit to provide financial related support to its member states which currently are Uganda, Kenya, Tanzania and Rwanda. The EADB has a country office in each of the member states.

JOB DETAILS:
The Investment Officer, Portfolio Management is responsible to ensure the lending, servicing, monitoring and collection of loans and other facilities (finance leases, equity investments, etc.) by the relevant operating units, is done in strict adherence to set institutional standards and practices as set forth in the relevant investment policies, procedures manuals and client agreements of the Bank.

Key Qualification and Experience

• The successful candidate must have minimum of five (5) years’ relevant experience in a large commercial, merchant, or development banking environment, or multilateral organization, preferably engaged in long term funding or project financing.
  
• S/he should have a Bachelor’s Degree in finance, engineering or a relevant numerate discipline from a recognized university and a Masters’ degree in Finance or related fields from a recognized university and professional qualification(s) in a related field, e.g. ACCA, CPA, or CFA.
  
• The candidate should have experience and expert knowledge of financial analysis; ability to analyze financial statements, conduct sensitivity analysis, and assess impact of relevant variables of credit risk;
  
• Experience and understanding of macro and micro economic environment, and economic and social development challenges in region; the candidate should have a proven track record in originating, appraising and implementing projects in a number of sectors;
  
• Experience in using financial models and experience in organizational/business structuring/restructuring.
