Invitation For Pre Qualification/Tender T For The Development Of Land (PLOTS)

1. The Tanzania-Zambia Railway Authority (TAZARA) has identified areas of need to enhance its revenue and has come up with specific land (assets) to be developed for which this pre qualification/tender is issued.
2. This invitation for pre qualification/tender will be conducted as per TAZARA Procurement and Supplies Manual of November, 2011.
3. The pre-qualification/tender will be conducted through an international open competitive method as per the procedures specified in TAZARA Procurement and Supplies Manual of November, 2011.
4. The invitation for pre-qualification/tender is offered to applicants for the development of land in two lots as follows:

• Lot 1: Application/Tender No. TZR/HQ/CTC/2023/2024/04 for Plot No. 8 located at Kawe, Kinondoni District in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania.
• Lot 2: Application/Tender No. TZR/HQ/CTC/2023/2024/05 for Plot No. 1104 located at Masaki, Kinondoni District in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania.

5. Interested applicants/tenderers may obtain further information or inspect the pre- qualification/tendering document from 08:00 to 16:30 hours, Monday to Friday, excluding public holidays, at either the Office of the Supplies Manager, 1st Floor, Room No. 210, TAZARA Head Office, Nyerere Road, Dar es Salaam, Tanzania (E.A.T.), or the Lusaka Area Manager’s Office, TAZARA House, Dedan Kimathi Road, Lusaka, Zambia (C.A.T.).
6. A complete set of the pre-qualification/tendering document in English may be purchased by interested applicants/tenderers on the submission of a written application to the address given under paragraph 5 above and upon payment of a non-refundable fee of US$ 200.00 (United States Dollar Two Hundred Only). Payment should be made by Cash, Telegraphic Transfer, or Cheque, payable to Tanzania-Zambia Railway Authority.
7. All applications/tenders, consisting of one original and one copy on a USB drive (flash disk), properly filled in and enclosed in plain envelopes marked with the Application/Tender Lot Number, must be delivered to either the Secretary of the Central Tender Committee, Office No. 210, TAZARA Head Office, Nyerere/Mandela Roads Junction, Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, or the Area Manager’s Office, TAZARA House, Dedan Kimathi Road, Lusaka, Zambia.
8. Submissions can be made from Monday to Friday at or before 11:00 hours E.A.T. or 10:00 hours C.A.T. on Friday, 13th September 2024. Applications/tenders will be opened promptly thereafter on 13th September 2024 in public and in the presence of applicants or representatives who choose to attend the opening ceremony at TAZARA Head Office Board Room in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania or TAZARA Lusaka Area office Board Room at TAZARA House in Lusaka, Zambia.

9. Late applications/tenders, electronic applications/tenders, and applications/tenders not received and opened and not read out in public at the application/tender opening ceremony shall not be accepted for evaluation irrespective of the circumstances.
