Invitation for Tender for Construction at World Vision Tanzania (WVT)

Location: Nyarugusu Refugees Camp, Kasulu District, Kigoma Region.

World Vision Tanzania – Head Office in Arusha invites sealed tenders from eligible, reputable, and qualified bidders for the following construction projects:

Lot 01: Construction of New Waiting Shelters, Toilet, and Renovation of Shelter Building

• a) Renovation of waiting shelter and construction of seating benches (stools) at FDP 3 in Nyarugusu camp, Kasulu district, Kigoma region.
• b) Construction of waiting shelters (10x25m) at FDP 1, 2, 3 in Nyarugusu refugees camp, Kasulu district, Kigoma region.
• c) Construction of a toilet block with two stances at SFP 1 in Nyarugusu camp, Kasulu district, Kigoma region.

Lot 02: Construction of New Waiting Shelters and Renovation of Store Building

• a) Construction of waiting shelter and seating benches at Health Post 2 and 5, SFP 1 in Nyarugusu refugees camp, Kasulu district, Kigoma region.
• b) Construction of changing shelter (EDP) in Nyarugusu refugees camp, Kasulu district, Kigoma region.
• c) Renovation of SFP stores at Center 1 and 2 in Nyarugusu refugees camp, Kasulu district, Kigoma region.

Eligibility Criteria:

• Class Seven and above (Class 3 to 7) registered by CRB Tanzania (Local Contractor Categories) for civil and building construction projects, including water supply.
• Minimum of three years of experience in building construction, with a preference for projects in refugee camps within the last three years.

Tender Process:

Construction services

• Bidders must email their bank deposit slip for a non-refundable fee of Tsh. 50,000 (Tsh. Fifty Thousand only) per lot to tzao_tenders@wvi.org. The subject of the email should include the Lot Number and company name.
• After confirmation of payment, a receipt will be sent along with a link to access bid documents within 48 hours.
• All tender submissions must be done electronically via Coupa Provision system. No emailed or physical hard copies will be accepted.
• The submission must include a soft copy of the Bill of Quantities (BOQ) in PDF and Excel formats. The PDF BOQ will be used for evaluation, while the Excel version is for comparison.

Site Visits:
Site visits for all construction-related works are mandatory and will be conducted on the following dates:

• 11th, 13th, 18th, 20th, and 25th February, 2025. Contact personnel details will be provided in the tender documents.

Tender Submission Deadline:

• Bids must be submitted on or before 10:00hrs on 28th February, 2025. Late submissions will not be accepted as the system will automatically close.

Tender Opening:

• Tenders will be opened immediately on the same closing day and time in the presence of bidders or their representatives via an online platform (Zoom link). The Zoom link will be shared via email.

• WVT is not bound to accept the lowest, highest, or any tender.
• The evaluation of bids will be done according to World Vision Tanzania’s Procurement Guidelines.
