JOB DETAILS:
1. This invitation for prequalification will be conducted as per TAZARA Procurement & Supplies Manual of November, 2011.
2. Tanzania Zambia Railway Authority (TAZARA) has identified areas of need to enhance its operations and has come up with specific Goods and Services for which this prequalification is issued. Invitation for prequalification is offered to prequalifying applicants for the supply of the following:

Lot 1: Supply of Cape Gouge Rail Permanent Way Materials and Spares
Lot 2: Supply of Railway Maintenance Spares and Tools
Let 3: Supply of Rail Wooden Sleepers
Lot 4: Supply of Heavy-duty Motor Trolley Spares
Lot 6: Supply of CKS Locomotive Spares
Lot 8: Supply of S0020 Locomotive Spares
Lot 7: Supply of CKD Locomotive Spares
Lot 8: Supply of DE Locomotive Spares
Lot 8: Supply of Rail Wagons Spares
Lot 10: Supply of railway Rescue Equipment Spares
Lot 11: Supply of various common rolling stocks spares for locomotives and wagons i.e. vacuum horses, brake blocks, air brake, assembly, vacuum horse coupling, rubber seals etc.
Lot 12: Lease of Main line and Shunting Locomotives
Lot 13: Lance of Rail Wagons

3. The Pre-qualification will be conducted through open international applications.
4. Interested applicants may inspect prequalification documents and obtain further information from the offices of the Secretary to the Central Tender Committee, let floor Room No.210, TAZARA Head Office, Dar es Salaam, Tanzania or Lusaka Area Manager's office, 2nd Floor, Room No 202 TAZARA House, Dedan Kimathi Road, Lusaka, Zambia from 08.00 to 18.30 hours E.A.T, from Monday to Friday, excluding public holidays.
5. A complete set of Pre-Qualification Documents in English may be purchased by interested applicants on the submission of a written application to the address given under paragraph 4 above and upon payment of a non-refundable fee of US$ 200.00 (United States Dollar Two Hundred) only. Payment should be made by Cash or Telegraphic Transfer, payable to Tanzania-Zambia Railway Authority.

All applications, one original plus 2 (two) duplicates, properly filled in and enclosed in plain envelopes marked with Prequalification Lot Number(s) must be delivered to The Secretary to the Central Tender Committee, Office No. 210, TAZARA Head Office. Nyerere/Mandela Road Junction, Dar-es-Salaam, Tanzania or the Area Manager's Office, TAZARA House, Dedan Kimathi Road, Lusaka, Zambia On Mondays to Fridays at or before 11:00hrs E.AT or 10.00hrs C.A.T. on or before 30 December 2022. Applications will be opened promptly thereafter in public and in the presence of applicants or representatives who choose to attend in the opening ceremony at TAZARA Head Office, Board
