JOB DETAILS:
We are looking for an experienced and highly motivated Lead Engineer. The Lead Engineer would manage key project technical activities, technical R&D and company relations with all technical partners. As well, they should oversee all technical aspects of projects, set deadlines, assign responsibilities and monitor and summarize project progress. They will also prepare technical reports for upper management regarding the status of the project.

Required Education and Experience:
• A bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Industrial Engineering, with a minimum 3 years work experience in renewable energy, industrial production or machine design (AUTOCAD/Solid Work).
• Work experience in the sardine fishing industry or blue economy will be of an added advantage.

• Key duties and responsibilities:
• Manage, coordinate and supervise all day-to-day business production activities
• Help evaluate new technologies and find the best tools for project execution
• Supervise system infrastructure to ensure functionality and efficiency
• Ensure implementation of policies and systems to maximize operational efficiency
• Prepare, control and share daily, weekly and monthly technical reports with the management
• Report and track project technical KPIs effectively
• Provide technical leadership at the enterprise level and serve an integral role in operations and business development.
• Evaluate and implement new systems and infrastructure within the framework of the company’s mission and values while in alignment with its business goals and donors
• Stay on top of emerging technologies, materials and manufacturing processes
• Be a bridge between internal and external design, production, and distribution teams to drive industry best practices.
• Help make recruiting and resourcing decisions as we scale
