JOB DETAILS:
The Maintenance Technician provides consistent and timely maintenance and technical support to all company equipment, fixtures, and machinery. A person in this role with exceptional performance will have the opportunity to lead PM and Lean initiatives for the department. An ideal candidate is someone with solid maintenance work experience (preferably with Flexo – Litho press experience), mechanical experience, strong communication skills, good attendance, and a desire to grow their career with us.

Key Responsibilities.
• Exhibits a safety-first attitude in all that is done, from proper PPE compliance to keeping the work environment safe and hazard-free. Compliance with all workplace and product safety standards and procedures.
• Trouble shoot and repair any mechanical problems throughout the company.
• Logs, files, and documents all maintenance paperwork; ensure that department is organized and orderly.
• Complete Request for Purchase forms for any parts, material, or equipment necessary to repair company equipment, fixtures, or machinery.
• Responsible for the timely performance of the preventative maintenance program and completion of records related to program.
• Responsible for daily update to Engineering Manager and team regarding status of ongoing projects and work performed.
• Support lean activities, safety committee, and other key initiatives within plant.
• Participation in department meetings, process improvement events, training, and safety program as scheduled

Skills, Experience & Education
• Degree in mechanics.
• Training related to OSHA preferred, strong proven knowledge and aptitude for mechanical processes, minimum 2 years of mechanical experience required.
• Experience in the printing industry, math and measurement skills, good knowledge of computers with competency in Microsoft Outlook, Word & Excel.
• Ability to analyze data, draw conclusions, make recommendations, and present findings.
• Experience with PM Management system required, and executing/participating in Preventative Maintenance program preferred.
