JOB DETAILS:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Mechanical Technician who possesses fluency in both English and Chinese languages. As a Mechanical Technician, you will be responsible for the maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of mechanical systems and equipment in our production facility

Experience: Mechanical Technician or similar role in an industrial manufacturing environment, particularly in the steel pipe manufacturing industry.
Location: Dar Es Salaam,

Responsibilities:
• Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance tasks on mechanical systems, including but not limited to pumps, compressors, conveyors, motors, and hydraulic systems.
• Perform repairs and troubleshoot mechanical equipment and systems to identify faults, diagnose issues, and implement appropriate solutions.
• Collaborate with the maintenance team to plan and execute maintenance activities, ensuring minimal disruption to production schedules.
• Follow safety protocols and guidelines while working with machinery and equipment, adhering to company policies and regulatory standards.
• Maintain accurate documentation of maintenance activities, including work orders, equipment records, and maintenance logs.
• Monitor and analyze equipment performance, identifying opportunities for improvement and proposing corrective actions.
• Support the installation and commissioning of new equipment and systems, ensuring proper integration and functionality.
• Coordinate with other departments, such as production and engineering, to ensure efficient workflow and effective communication.

Requirements:
• High school diploma or equivalent, additional technical certifications or vocational training in mechanical engineering or related field is preferred.
• Proven experience as a Mechanical Technician or similar role in an industrial manufacturing environment, particularly in the steel pipe manufacturing industry.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on experience in troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining mechanical systems and equipment.
• Proficiency in English and Chinese (both spoken and written) is essential to effectively communicate with team members, vendors, and stakeholders.
• Knowledge of safety procedures and protocols related to mechanical maintenance activities.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and manuals.
• Familiarity with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) and basic computer skills.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and in a team environment.
