JOB DETAILS:
Insight management Tanzania Limited is recruiting on behalf of a client in the logistics industry for the following positions:

Reports to: Operations Manager

Responsibilities:
1. Management of all Logistics and transit operations
2. Review and improve operational processes
3. Maintain and monitor daily workflow
4. Meet set KPIs
5. Allocate workloads within the team to ensure smooth operations during peak activity or staff absence
6. Conduct customer service tasks, deliver customer satisfaction & guarantee quality operations
7. Liaise with internal & external stakeholders to ensure the smooth running of operations
8. Review & improve Import, Export and Customs operational processes
9. Maximise efficiency and shipment profit
10. Oversee all compliance issues
11. Alert changes in customs & trade regulations, identify risks and mitigate the impact on operations and clients
12. Report import and export transactions regularly in regards to customs broker activities, issues encountered and escalation
13. Work with internal stakeholders to obtain information or data required for Import & Export Customs & Clearance activities
14. Ensure Customs-related record keeping is met by internal and external stakeholders
15. Process client requests or disputes
16. Notify the MD of client shipments that exceed their credit limit
17. Accounts payable: Process supplier invoices to accounts
18. Netting: Process overseas invoices to accounts
19. Respond to netting queries
20. Handle escalation, complaints & feedback

Requirements:
1. At least three years of Operations experience
2. Experience in the Logistics industry is a Must
3. Extensive knowledge in all aspects of Freight Forwarding
4. Proven track record of leadership roles
5. Knowledge of the local transport industry (including Customs, Compliance Issues, )
