SIMBA CLEARING AND FREIGHT FORWARDING LTD a reputable Clearing and Forwarding Company is looking for a competent person to fill the vacancy of PORT CLERK in the OPERATION DEPARTMENT. .

Minimum Qualification:
• Education: Certificate / Diploma In Customs Clearing & Forwarding will be an added advantage)
• Experience Length:3 years in Customs Clearing / Logistics and Transport Companies

Job Summary
To follow up Release and Delivery of consignments via Dar es Salaam Port and ICDs.

Job Description
• Track and update Vessel Information for all Imports / Transit consignments.
• Follow up Invoice and Release / Delivery Order from shipping lines.
• Follow up Statutory Permits e.g. TBS, Chemical Permit, TMDI, etc
• Compile documents/file for physical verification of cargo at port or ICDs
• Arrange and Supervise verification with Customs
• Follow up for Customs Release and Port or ICDs Charges
• Process Transit Documents and Gate Pass to enter and exit trucks into and out of port or ICDs.
• Should ensure the clearing of goods from the Customs within the shortest possible time.
• Sending a Daily import and Export Report to all the clients which we are handling and different departments.
