JOB DETAILS:
We are looking for a Public Relations (PR) Officer to organize and oversee PR activities and ensure effective communication with stakeholders, media and the public.
As a PR Officer, you should be structured, a relation-builder, organized and good-tempered professional who is also able to handle a crisis. We expect you to have a creative mind and excellent communication skills. To present Farm For the Future (FFF) so that we are successful in most of our applications, is an important part of the job.
Your goal will be to cultivate a positive Company image together with the management of FFF. .
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Establish a complete overview of all our stakeholders, and make sure they all get the information and reports needed for them to support FFF.
• Work closely together with the Management and partners towards our vision – Empowering people - and our Business plan for the coming years. It is very important to have the right communication approach for the unique combination of commercial farming and training on the same arena.
• Follow any open adverts and present the uniqueness of FFF in all applications, so that we get grants to grow and develop the Community further
• Organizing and attending events like open days, exhibitions, important meetings, tours and visits, and serve as the company’s spokesperson.
• Arrange regular meetings with the neighbours and other important groups of FFF and make sure good relations are established.
• Make sure all visitors to FFF are well received and that they get more than they expected out of their visit
• Edit and update promotional material and publications (brochures, videos, social media posts etc.)
• Seek opportunities for partnerships, sponsorship and advertising
• Dealing with inquiries from the public, the press, and related organisations
• Write and produce presentations and press releases, and social media activities
• Develop PR campaigns and media relations strategies
• Be a very good adviser for the Management in all communication matters, and collaborate closely with them to make sure they all communicate the same messages
• Prepare and distribute press releases
• Prepare and submit PR reports
• Manage PR issues
• Assist with general administration work
• And any duties which will be assigned by your supervisor

QUALIFICATIONS
• Degree in Public Relations or related field
• Work experience in International Organization of minimum 3 years in a similar function
• Experience working collaboratively with the government of Tanzania, international donors, and local organizations. Mastering the important protocol issues.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills in Swahili and English
• Proficient in MS Office and social media
• Ability to work well under pressure
• Creative and problem-solving attitude
