Household Survey
Dar es Salaam, Pwani, Tanga, Morogoro, Njombe, and Mbeya
Abt Global LLC (Formerly Abt Associates), a global leader in research, evaluation, and program implementation, is recruiting a survey firm to conduct household-level surveys to support an impact evaluation of the AgResults Dairy Productivity Project, a multi-year effort to increase dairy productivity through the private sector in Tanzania. This is an endline survey that follows on a base¬line survey conducted in 2020.

Survey Details
• The survey will be conducted in Dar es Salaam, Pwani, Tanga, Morogoro, Njombe, and Mbeya beginning in or around July 2024.
• The expected sample size is up to 4700 completed interviews with dairy farming households.
• Surveys will be conducted at the household level, focusing on demographic characteristics, dairy farming, technology adoption, productivity, and income.
• Farmers interviewed during the baseline survey need to be located for the endline survey. Additional farming households may need to be sampled.
Desired Qualifications
• Experience conducting large scale household-level surveys in Tanzania, preferably for an evaluation.
• Record of high-quality performance, as indicated by references.
• Experience conducting livestock and/or agriculture-related surveys.
• Demonstrated flexibility when implementing surveys in rural settings.
• Experience with CAPI/mobile data collection.
• Experience in developing and carrying out robust data quality assurance plans, and field imple-mentation and training plans.
• Experience in implementing panel surveys, especially maximizing response rates and minimiz-ing attrition.

All expressions of interest should be sent to AgResults@abtassoc.com by March 8th, 2024, 5PM Washington, DC time. Expressions of interest will be reviewed and firms selected for the short list will be invited to submit a detailed proposal.
