JOB DETAILS:
The Chief Medical Officer of the Arusha Regional Referral Hospital – Mt. Meru, would like to announce to all eligible Tanzanians with the required qualifications and the intention to work at the Arusha Regional Referral Hospital – Mt. Meru to submit their applications.

5. Social Welfare Officer Grade II (1 post)

(a) Qualifications for employment:
• Employed with BA Degree (Social Work or Sociology) or Advanced Diploma in Social Work from a College of Higher Education recognized by the Government.

(b) Duties and Responsibilities:
• Conducting interviews for those served (people with disabilities, the elderly, families with problems, children and defendants).
• Conduct an inspection of the environment in which the employees live to obtain their complete information.
• Preparing interview information and inspection of the employees' environment.
• Receiving and collecting social welfare information from stakeholders and various social welfare centers.
• To receive and collect statistics regarding the services of people with disabilities, the elderly, child care and families with problems.
• To receive, analyze and prepare a list of applications for the admission of daycare centers, foster care and daycare colleges.
• To receive, analyze and prepare a list of requests for President's assistance from mothers who gave birth to three or more children at once.
• Receiving, analyzing and preparing a list of requests for orphans or children in need of various aids.
• Receiving, analyzing and preparing a list of various requests from families and people in distress.
• Interrogating and preparing statements of the defendants
• Supervising employees in residences, Vocational Training Colleges for people with disabilities, Juvenile Prisons and Correctional Schools.
• To do other tasks assigned to him by his head of work related to his education, experience and skills.
