JOB DETAILS:
Job Purpose
As a Systems Administrator, you will be responsible for supporting operations in the head office and branches within the framework and policies of the IT department. The Systems Administrator’s position involves supervising, monitoring system performance, and configuring new software and hardware. To work with escalated tickets and solution requests that need attention, maintaining system or software administration, network infrastructure, hardware maintenance, and setting up scopes. This role is critical as this individual directly affects the capabilities of smooth and continuous business operations.

Responsibilities and Duties
 IT support and system administration
• Implementation and maintenance of the Watu systems & Application and administration of the environment.
• System changes log documentation and user training.
• Responsible for ensuring systems backup and retention procedures as well as backup and restoration test documentation and reporting
• To ensure the high availability of systems avoiding any potential operations downtime.
• Completing system installs and upgrades. Installing new systems and implementing upgrades as needed. Conducting consistent analyses of a company’s computer systems to determine if existing components meet the company’s needs and perform upgrades or updates as needed.
• Technical support and maintenance of the company’s IT equipment – such as printers, scanners, and peripherals.
• Support the local call centre system and follow up with structure, integration, and troubleshooting in the company’s call centre system solution.
• Adjusting and implementing ICT policies and procedures for the company and departments.
• Participation in the Implementation and maintenance of the company network infrastructure and endpoint security
• Performing regular HW and SW inventories and assessments of employee/department/management needs, evaluation of the administration and user rights, and performance tests.
• Work closely with business in relevant systems project management – budgeting, pipelining, distribution of tasks, team alignment, follow-ups, and reports.
• Investigation and implementation of new tools and systems according to department and process needs.
• Managing incident reporting and investigations
• Working hand in hand with the IT Manager, and other involved departments as well as third parties to reach the set objectives.

General
• Follow Company and IT department internal policies
• Prepare internal reporting
• Prepare IT system resource planning

Key performance indicators
• Response rate: ticket and incident response time 100% within the SLA average
• Solution of the 90% system, account administration, and respective support scope tickets within the given onboarding SLA average – system administrations
• 100% systems backup Success Rate. This is to ensure data is protected and can be restored if needed.
• Project management: Lead, monitor, and achieve agreed deliverables as per project plan and timelines.

Qualifications
• Education level:
• Degree in Computer science or a relevant field
Experience:
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in IT.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar system or IT Administrator role.
• Minimum of 3 years managing call center solutions.

Technical skills:
• Knowledge of hardware maintenance and troubleshooting technical and MS issues
• Hands-on experience with network infrastructure and configurations, Knowledge of network protocols, routers, switches, and security tools (firewalls, VPNs)
• Hands-on experience with network cabling and assembly/connection of different types of HW
• Proficiency with Google products (Sheets, Docs, Slides, Drive), ability to use those tools for analytics and optimization of tasks and processes.
• Experience and skills with Active Directory/MS Server
• Hands-on experience with Windows/Linux servers, cloud platforms (GPC, AWS, Azure), and virtualization tools (VMware, Hyper-V).
• Understanding of methodology of IT standards and SW/data safety
• Proficiency with Google Workspace and/or Google Cloud products, ability to use those tools for administration, analytics, creation, and optimization of processes.
• Experience and skills with Data Studio will be considered as an advantage
• Experience with project management tools, such as Jira, Gitlab, Spiceworks, and others will be considered as an advantage.
