Position: Transport Officer
Job Location: Iringa, Tanzania
Salary: The salary is commensurate with qualifications and experience
Flody Transport Company Limited seeks to hire a highly qualified, dedicated and experienced Transport Officer. The position will be based in Tanzania and reporting to the Managing Director.

Purposes of the position
To monitor Flody Transport Company Limited vehicle Usage & Maintenance in a manner that will provide reliable Transportation services in a way that protects the Company’s image and relationship with the public in line with Flody Transport vehicle policy.

Duties and Responsibilities
• Ensure proper filing and documentation is in place for all vehicles and Follow up with vehicles clearing, registration and insurance in line with Company vehicle policy.
• Prepare and avail timely reports of Vehicle movement, fuel consumption, maintenance, accidents and other fleet related issues.
• Review payment related to Drivers and vehicles plan & provide training for drivers in consultation with Managing Director.
• Plan, organize, Supervise and manage the work of Drivers to ensure that the work is accomplished in a manner consistent with Company’s requirements.
• Follow up of rules and policies for fleet management /Contribute and implement Company vehicle/transport policy
• Maintain vehicle service and inspection records to ensure compliance with manufacturers’ servicing schedules or leasing companies’ maintenance requirements and ensure all vehicles are cleaned & in good condition.
• To receive initial accident reports and to follow up with Police and Insurance Company in collaboration with the respective managers in line with Company vehicle policy.

Qualifications: Education/Knowledge/Technical Skills and Experience
• Bachelor’s Degree/Diploma in Mechanics, Transport and logistics, Fleet Management or other related fields
• Long experience in a similar job
• Good interpersonal skills, adaptability, flexibility and ability to prioritize tasks
• Excellent knowledge in communication skills
• Computer skills
• Experience in fleet management
• Experience in driving vehicles in long safari
• Knowledge of transport logistics and vehicle mechanics
• Valid driving license
• Good planning and organizational skills
