Description:
We are looking for a qualified accountant to assist our finance manager. The candidate is expected to perform all day-to day accounting duties and ensure that accurate financial information is maintained. While carrying out her/his duties the s/he makes sure that principals of internal control and UZIKWASA financial and administrative policies are adhered to, and procedures and standards followed. The accountant works closely with the finance manager and the program staff to assist them in financial planning and operationalization. The candidate is expected to commit to a culture of learning and personal growth through active participation in UZIKWASA’s learning events, team building sessions and reflective performance appraisals.

Qualifications & Experience Required:
• A Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, auditing or related field.
• ACA, ACCA or CPA qualifications is a requirement and a minimum of three (3) years post qualification experience as accountant or finance professional.
• Experience with donor funding and NGO accounting is preferred alongside extensive knowledge in Tanzania’s tax laws and regulations.
• We expect proficiency in Quick books and/or other commercially available accounting software and excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
