JOB DETAILS:
Primary Functions:
Ensure Electrical and Instrumentation equipment installation in Hazardous Areas follows relevant technical Specification, local and international Codes and Standards to prevent potential explosion in Hazardous Areas.
Responsibilities:
• Participate in the writing of Verification & Certification Activity Reports (VCARS)
• Prepare and submit inspection reports after each site visit as per required standard.
• Carry out verification of installation & commissioning activities as per approved ATEX procedure.
• Carry out certification and verification of electrical installations as per agreed scheme and in accordance with specified requirements
• Review and verify inspection reports on new and existing Atex E&I facilities including Maintenance Shutdowns and Turnarounds active.
• Issue Non-conformities on Ex equipment found with defects
• Review and verify any available Atex anomaly register and high-risk items.
• Assists in reviewing documentation on Atex equipment procurement inquiries.
Qualification:
• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or Equivalent.
• Valid COMPEX EX01-EX04/EEHA Certification.
• Knowledge of the Certification schemes
• At least 10 years of experience in Electrical and Instrumentation projects.
• At least 3 similar experiences working in international projects would be an added advantage.
• Knowledge of ATEX and various international/Project standards
• Minimum Certificate of Registered Supervision Engineer or equivalent
• Extensive knowledge of construction, installation, and commissioning.
• Extensive knowledge of safety in the oil and gas industry would be an added advantage.
• Ability to review and analyse report compliance with approved procedure requirement.
• Good health is required.
• Good at using micro-office software and CAD software.
• Strong executive ability, clear working ideas, strong communication skills, team spirit, good interpersonal skills.
