JOB DETAILS:
Primary Functions:
Responsible for carrying out certification and verification of quality of Non-destructive Testing (NDT) related activities as per agreed scheme and in accordance with specified requirements during installation & commissioning.
Responsibilities:
• Review and verify NDT inspection results to ensure compliance with project specifications and standards.
• Perform site surveillance to witness NDT works and review records and test reports to ensure compliance with approved procedures, specified and industry standards such as ASME, ISO, and API.
• Verify the calibration records and functionality of NDT equipment used in completed inspections.
• Review the qualifications and certifications of NDT personnel who performed the inspections.
• Audit the records and documentation of NDT activities to confirm adherence to safety protocols and regulatory requirements.
• Maintain detailed records and keep track of all surveillance findings including non-conformities and recommended corrective actions.
• Lead audit activities, including conducting opening and closing meetings with the Quality Control (QC) manager and relevant stakeholders.
Qualification:
• Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, or related field.
• Certifications in relevant NDT methods (UT, RT, MT, PT, ET) with Level II certification (ISO 9712 or Equivalent)
• Minimum of 10 years’ experience in NDT inspection and auditing within the oil and gas industry, particularly in pipeline projects.
• Experience in similar projects and knowledge of industry standards such as ISO 9712, ASME BPVC Section V, and API 1104 is an added advantage.
• Proficiency in NDT techniques and standards relevant to the oil and gas sector, including BS EN ISO standards.
• Certifications in safety standards such as OSHA or NEBOSH, with a focus on NDT safety procedures is an added advantage.
• Strong analytical and observational skills.
• Proficiency in report writing and documentation.
• Willingness and ability to travel and work in remote environments as required by the project.
