JOB DETAILS:
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Tying and untying the ropes of the boat/ferry;
• Taking care of the safety of passengers and vehicles inside the boat/ferries;
• Arranging passengers or vehicles on boats/ferries;
• Driving and guiding the boat/ferry;
• Keeping boat trip/ferry records
• Ensuring that ferry engines are in good working condition; and
• Checking oil and other working tools.

QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE
• Recruiting Graduates of the Fourth Form Examination, with training in driving and maintaining boats/ferries certified by the Dar es Salaam Marine Institute or any other College recognized by the Government for a period of not less than two years; and those who passed the six-month training in life saving in water, swimming and organizing people and vehicles on boats/ferries.
