JOB DETAILS:
Founded in 1984 in response to the famine in Ethiopia, Canadian Physicians for Aid and Relief (CPAR) is a non-profit organization working in partnership with health professionals, vulnerable communities, governments and diverse organizations to build healthy communities in Africa.

Through our programming, CPAR supports the achievement of the Global Goals for Sustainable Development through programming that:
• Improves health systems capacity
• Addresses the determinants of health that may also impact the health of the communities in which we are working (food security and nutrition, clean water, sanitation and hygiene, sustainable livelihoods).

CPAR has field offices and programs in Ethiopia, Malawi, and Tanzania.
Location: Karatu and Mbulu Districts

Qualifications:
• Educational Background: Diploma/Bachelor degree in Nursing.
• Licensure and Certification: Nursing and midwifery licenses as required by the local regulatory body. Certification in advanced midwifery practices and antenatal care can also be important.
• Experience: Practical experience in obstetric and antenatal care, including managing prenatal assessments, labor, and postnatal care.
• Skills: Strong clinical skills, knowledge of antenatal care protocols, and proficiency in patient assessment and management. Good communication and patient education skills are also crucial.
• Continued Education: Participation in ongoing professional development and training related to antenatal care and emerging practices.
• Only female nurse midwives are needed
