JOB DETAILS:
Job Overview:
will be an integral part of the health programs in the Kigoma Region, contributing to the delivery of high-quality primary healthcare services. The Clinical Officer will be responsible for providing clinical care to patients, assisting in operational and programmatic aspects, and collaborating closely with key actors in the field including the Ministry of Health, UN agencies, and other NGOs.

Major Responsibilities: Key Areas
Quality Health Care Service
• Select and examine images, search for differences between healthy and pathological areas and determine if the scope of the exam should be extended based on preliminary findings
• Present the sonograms and preliminary findings to clinicians
• Complete the appropriate documentation and maintain patients’ medical records
• Assist Physicians/Clinicians and healthcare teams during invasive procedures.
• Maintain and clean the sonographic equipment
• Perform medical procedures, such as administering oxygen, taking vital signs and giving emergency treatments

Drugs/Supplies
• Collaborate with the pharmacy team to handle essential sonographic supplies
• Trainings
• Participate in on-the-job training for health staff at health posts as appropriate.
• Report Writing
• Assist in preparing and presenting monthly, quarterly, semi-annual, and annual reports under the guidance of the Clinical Officer In Charge.

Key Working Relationships:
• Position Reports to: Clinical Officer
• Position directly supervises: Incentive supportive workers
• Other Internal and/or external contacts:

Qualifications
• Minimum diploma in Radiology/Radiography
• Registered under Medical Radiology and Imaging Professionals Council with a valid practicing license.
• Over two (2) years working experience working in a health facility.
• Experience in Humanitarian populations is desired.

• Performing diagnostic procedures
• Strong clinical skills.
• Team-oriented with excellent interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work under pressure in a stressful environment, displaying resilience, compassion, and diplomacy.
• Active teammate with good interpersonal skills
• Good analytical skills
• Self-motivated with the ability to work under minimal supervision.
• Language: English and Swahili
