JOB DETAILS:
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Managing the conservation of fishing resources and its environment;
• Developing various methods and strategies to control and prevent illegal fishing in accordance with the Fisheries Law and its Regulations;
• Coordinating and managing work at the Fishing Patrol Center;
• Supervising sea, land and air patrols in the waters of the internal sea and the entire area of the Economic Exclusive Zone (EEZ) along with border areas and airports;
• To promote the sustainable harvesting of fish and other sea creatures, lakes, rivers, dams and dams;
• To give expert advice on better fishing;
• Doing tasks related to community involvement issues in fisheries development activities;
• Issuing fishing licenses;
• Working as Fisheries Observers in fishing vessels;
• To conduct professional fishing training;
• Supervising the collection of fishing statistics and data;
• Coordinating fishing research activities;
• To provide advice and training to the community regarding the development and sustainable use of fishing resources; and
• To do other tasks assigned to him by the head of the Division related to his field.

QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE
Employed with a Bachelor Degree in the fields of Fisheries Science (Aquatic) from the University of Dar es Salaam or from any university recognized by the Government.
