JOB DETAILS:
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Managing the planting and maintenance of trees and forests;
• Managing the development of planted forests not exceeding 5,000 hectares or natural forests not exceeding 10,000 hectares;
• Conducting forest research;
• To implement Forest Policy and Laws;
• To conduct the training of Forestry Assistants;
• Collecting forest statistics;
• Conducting forest inspections;
• Planning and measuring wooden bridges;
• To control licensing and harvesting of forests/trees;
• To provide advice and training to citizens on the development and sustainable use of trees and forests for citizens;
• Making estimation of forest resources; and
• Measuring areas and drawing forest maps.

QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE
• Employed with a Bachelor's/Higher Diploma in Forestry from Sokoine Agricultural University or other Universities recognized by the Government.
