Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Assistant Accountant to join our team. The ideal candidate will support our financial operations, ensure accurate and timely financial reporting, and maintain compliance with relevant regulations.

Responsibilities:
• Petty cash control and reconciling.
• Reconcile the bank accounts.
• Assist with day-to-day finance department operations, including filing, report generation, reconciliations, etc.
• Maintain accounting documents and records, ensuring all files are up to date.
• Updating and reconciling customer receipts.
• Processing business expenses.
• Data entry

Requirements
• Should have a Degree or Advanced Diploma in accounting or finance.
• 1-3 years of experience in accounting or finance, preferably within the microfinance or financial services industry.
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage) and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial regulations.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
