Job Description:
Join our team as an Assistant Teacher to help provide a nurturing environment for children in Iringa Municipality. This role involves supporting lead teachers in delivering quality education and care.

Responsibilities:
• Support lead teachers in planning and conducting activities.
• Supervise children during meals, playtime, and rest.
• Maintain cleanliness and assist with classroom organization.

Qualifications:
• Certificate in childcare or related field (preferred but not mandatory).
• Experience working with children.
• Fluency in Kiswahili; basic English skills are a plus.

General Requirements:
• Preference will be given to residents of Iringa Municipality for all roles.
• Be ready and able to perform any other relevant duties, designated by superior
• Roles such as ICT Experts and Drone Operators should highlight familiarity with local cultural sensitivities.
• All staff must demonstrate a commitment to creating a safe, nurturing environment for children.
• All staff must be conversant (as per National Guidelines for Establishment and Management of Community-Based Day Care Centres) with: –

• Basic Competencies of a Child Care Worker
• Safety and Security (including Child Protection and Safety Procedures, and Health Care and Hygiene)
