Overview:
Simara Supermarket is seeking a talented Artisan Baker to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a deep passion for creating exceptional artisan bread and baked goods, ensuring quality and freshness in every product. Responsibilities:
1. Bread Baking:
• Prepare and bake a variety of bread, including artisanal loaves, rolls, and specialty bread.
• Monitor proofing, baking, and cooling times to ensure optimal results.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization in the baking area.
• Follow recipes and adjust ingredients as necessary to achieve desired outcomes.
2. Pastry Creation:
• Create and refine recipes for various baked items, including cookies, muffins, and pastries.
• Present and decorate baked goods attractively to enhance customer appeal.
• Ensure proper storage and rotation of all baking ingredients to maintain peak freshness.
• Innovate and introduce seasonal or themed baked items to engage customers.
3. Quality Assurance:
• Uphold high standards of quality and consistency in all baked goods.
• Conduct regular inspections to ensure adherence to food safety and sanitation guidelines.
• Address any issues or concerns related to product quality promptly and effectively.
4. Team Collaboration:
• Collaborate with other kitchen staff to coordinate baking schedules and optimize workflow. – Communicate effectively with management regarding inventory needs, production goals, and
equipment maintenance.
• Provide guidance and support to junior bakers and pastry assistants.

Qualifications:
• Proven experience as a bread baker in a commercial kitchen environment.
• Strong knowledge of baking techniques, ingredients, and equipment.
• Creative flair and attention to detail in design and presentation.
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure and meet production deadlines.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of food safety regulations and sanitation practices.
• Flexibility to work early mornings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
