It is also the largest single Gold mining operation in its annual gold production and Tanzania's most productive mine. The mine is situated in the Lake Victoria gold fields of North Western Tanzania. only about 85 km's from Mwanza City. The company has its head office in Geita. only 5 Km's west of the fast growing town of Geita. and also a supporting office in Dar es Salaam.

JOB DETAILS:
GGML is currently transitioning its open cast operations to Underground Mining as part of initiatives to extend life of the Mine thereby sustaining employment opportunities to the suitably qualified Tanzanian nationals. Boilermaker- Underground Mining.

Qualifications:

• Recognized Boilermaker Trade certificate. Completion of Secondary School Education.
  
• At least 2 years post apprenticeship work experience
  

Experience:

• Good welding (Arc and Mg} skills.
  
• Good knowledge of cutting, design and finish skill on metal fabrication.
  

Purpose of the Role:
The puTxse of the role is to manufacture, fabricate and repair metal structures/ objects as guided by immediate supervisor.

Main or Key Accountabilities

• Performs pre-start checks and SWlCs.
  
• Ensure maintenance is carried out on all equipment before use.
  
• Weld repairs to machinery, buckets and frames
  
• Build structure items for workshop and mining e g Doors. Lock up areas. stands. brackets Use of Air Arc Oxy Acetylene grinders, drills
  
• Design structural items.
  
• Work to standard, acceptable and of good quality to meet company standards.
  
• Work to minimize equipment downtime and maximize productivity
  
• Maintain 3 high standard of house keeping
