JOB DETAILS:
We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Business Development Officer to join our reputable insurance company. As a Business Development Officer, you will play a pivotal role in driving growth and expanding our customer base. You will be responsible for identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, establishing strong relationships with key stakeholders, and achieving sales targets. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the company's success and shape its future growth trajectory.

Key Responsibilities
• Research and analyze market trends, competitor activity, and customer needs to identify potential business prospects. Develop strategies and action plans to approach and secure new clients, expand market presence, and maximize revenue.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, brokers, agents, and industry professionals. Conduct regular meetings, presentations, and networking events to promote company products and services, and identify cross-selling or upselling opportunities.
• Achieve or exceed assigned sales targets and revenue objectives. Develop and implement sales strategies, negotiate contracts, and close deals. Conduct thorough market analysis and monitor industry developments to identify new sales opportunities.
• Provide exceptional customer service by understanding client requirements, addressing inquiries, and resolving any issues or concerns. Maintain regular communication with clients to build long-term relationships and ensure client satisfaction.
• Conduct market research and analysis to identify emerging market trends, customer preferences, and competitive positioning. Utilize insights to develop innovative strategies and adapt existing products or services to meet evolving customer needs.
• Work closely with internal departments such as underwriting, claims, and marketing to ensure seamless customer experience and optimize sales efforts. Collaborate on product development, marketing campaigns, and promotional activities to enhance business growth.
• Prepare regular sales reports, forecasts, and performance metrics to track progress toward targets. Provide insights and recommendations to senior management based on data analysis to drive business growth and identify areas for improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business administration, marketing, or a related field.
• Proven track record of successful business development, sales, or account management in the insurance industry.
• Strong knowledge of insurance products and services, market dynamics, and regulatory requirements.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders.
• Excellent negotiation, presentation, and closing skills.
• Analytical mindset with the ability to gather and interpret data to drive strategic decisions.
• Self-motivated and target-oriented with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong organizational and time management skills to handle multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
• Proficient in using CRM software, Microsoft Office Suite, and other relevant business tools.
