JOIN THE FOOD FAMILY LTD was founded in 2020 and has offices in Arusha and Dar es Salaam to drive its petfood, dairy/agricultural and food processing business in Tanzania and other African countries.

For supporting the company’s IT in Arusha, JOIN THE FOOD FAMILY LTD is looking for a:

Business Intelligence and Database Expert

Job Title: Business Intelligence and Database Expert

Career Level: Mid-Level/Senior

Reporting to: Director/CFO

Job Location: Arusha

Main Responsibilities/Tasks

1.    Setting up ETL-processes for business and accounting data resulting from multiple sources and leading to a single source of truth for all relevant business information.

2.    Automating the creation of reports for compliance and managerial stakeholders/purposes.

3.    Provide internal trainings to increase efficiency in routine tasks by making use of Microsoft and other tools.

4.    Maintaining and administrating IT infrastructure such as notebooks and networks in strong collaboration with corporate IT in Germany.

5.    Implement mechanisms of data backup and enhanced collaboration.

6.    Support in new projects with focus on IT development.

Knowledge, skills, qualifications and experience required for this role

1.    Developer skills in one or more popular programming language such as Java, JavaScript, C#, PHP etc.

2.    Good understanding of relational databases, data structures and Web APIs.

3.    Experience with Business Intelligence tools such as PowerBI, Tableau, KNIME etc.

4.    Background in working with ERP and Accounting systems.

5.    Very good knowledge in Excel, additionally PowerQuery and PowerPivot are considered an additional advantage.

6.    Proven experience in setting up and running data warehouses and OLAP cubes is considered a strong plus.

7.    Sensitivity and technical knowledge with regards to data security and privacy issues.

8.    Good communication skills and knowledge of English language.
