Job Responsibilities
The Human Resources Office of Daqing Oilfield Constructions Group Company Limited (DOCG) informs all Tanzanians with the following qualifications and who are ready to work at the Marine Storage Terminal Project (MST) at Chongoleani.

1.0. Position – Claim Officer (01)

1.1. Qualifications: -
1. Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Law, or a related field. Specialization in oil and gas is preferred.
2. Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in claims management within the oil and gas industry.
3. Knowledge: In-depth understanding of construction contracts, claims processes, and relevant legal principles in the oil and gas sector.
4. Skills: Strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills with a keen attention to detail.
5. Software: Proficiency in claims management software and Microsoft Office Suite.

1.2. Responsibilities: -
1. Claims Management: Oversee the entire claims process, from initial assessment to final resolution, ensuring compliance with contractual and legal requirements specific to the oil and gas industry.
2. Documentation: Prepare, review, and maintain accurate records and documentation related to claims, including correspondence, reports, and supporting evidence.
3. Analysis: Conduct thorough investigations and analyses of claims to determine their validity and potential impact on the project.
4. Negotiation: Engage in negotiations with contractors, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to reach amicable settlements.
5. Reporting: Provide regular updates and reports to senior management on the status and outcomes of claims.
6. Risk Mitigation: Identify potential risks and develop strategies to mitigate future claims and disputes.
7. Compliance: Ensure all claims are handled in accordance with relevant laws, regulations, and company policies.

The Contract shall be for a specific task for the whole constructions period of the project

1.5. Place of Work & Residency

The place of work for this position shall be Chongoleani ward in Tanga city, Daqing Oilfield Constructions Group Company Limited (DOCG) will provide food and camp accommodations in our temporary facilities for these positions. It is mandatory for individual selected for this position to utilize the camp accommodations.
