The candidate will have responsibility to provide project decision-makers and other stakeholders with regular, reliable information and advice on the projects progress, help partners make connective adjustments as needed and, ultimately, achieve better development results. An integral part of this assignment is to provide a platform for communication and sharing of lessons learned and best practices to ultimately improve health programming In Tanzania.

The ideal Project Monitor will possess the following key qualifications:
• A Bachelor's degree from a recognized university.
• A minimum of twelve months of experience within the last five (5) years in providing monitoring and evaluation support at the time of the RFP closing.112 months of experience is equivalent to 220 days.
• Professional experience providing administrative and organizational capacity support (preferably to health stakeholders
• Professional experience in coordinating, liaising and sharing information with Government, development partner, civil society and/or private sector stakeholders (health stakeholders preferred]
• Professional experience in applying results-based management approaches in the design, planning monitoring and evaluation of development projects or programs (for health projects preferred)

In addition to the key qualifications above, the incumbent is also expected to demonstrate the following skills and competencies
• Advanced professional proficiency in reading spoken and written English level 4 as explained in http://www.international.gc.ca/ifait-iasci/test_levels-niveaux.aspx?lang=eng and the ability to work in Kiswahili will be a significant asset.
• Knowledge of the Health Sector policy priorities and processes in Tanzania, including planning, management and budgeting of public sector resources. Experience with maternal and newborn, child health (MNCHI Sexual Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR), health systems strengthening (HSS) Sexual Gender Based Violence (SGBV)as well as work in community-level initiatives is an asset.
