Lafarge Tanzania is seeking to recruit a highly motivated Electrical Technician, to be based in Mbeya Plant, in a permanent employment contract
Position Reporting To: Electrical Supervisor

1. Summary of Roles and Responsibilities
• Assemble, install, test and maintain electrical lelectronic wirng, equipment, appliances and fixtures
• using hand tools and power tools
• Troubleshoot malfunctioning electrical systems using test equipment and hand tools to locate the cause of breakdown and fault solving
• Diagnose the electrical circuit breakers, transfomers and other components to make sure they operate at full capacty.
• Inspect electrical systems, equipment and components to identy hazards, delects and needs for
adjustment or repairs and corrects all findings as per standards.
• Test electrical systems and continuity of circutry in electrical equipment and fxtures, using testing
• devices to ensure compatibility and safety of the system.
• Repairreplace wiring, equipment and fixtures to install ground lead and connect power cables to equipment such as Motors.

Qualifications
• Education: Diploma in Electrical Engineering with minimum of three years’ experence in clinker and cement manufacturing industry

Technical Competencies /Additional skills:
• Good knowledge of product and manufacturing process
• b Good knowedge in electrical equipment and instrumentation
• Strong technical knowledge of electrical equipment maintenance and cperations
• Knowledge in Electricity distribution and transmission.
• Ability to multi-task effectively
• High level of integrity and self-discipline
• Creative and Innovative
• Computer lteracy and knowledge of Ms Office tools.
