JOB DETAILS:
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• To design and supervise drilling and blasting plans.
• To assess the feasibility studies of new sites.
• To ensure that all drilling rigs and associated accessories are in good working order.
• To monitor and evaluate mines performance.
• To manage construction projects in mines (e.g. to reclaim sites, fill in disused shafts etc.).
• To ensure that operations and equipment comply with health, safety and Environmental requirements.
• To record tracking and keeping in the mine’s operations.
• To assess mines equipment availability and utilization.
• To identify and recommend suitable mining method and mining equipment and machinery.
• To participate in feasibility studies of new mines.

• To develop individual objectives or targets and all performance standards as part of the individual performance agreement in consultation with the immediate supervisor and
• To perform any other related duties as may be assigned by immediate supervisor.

QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE
Holder of BSc. In Mining Engineering from a recognized Institution and must be computer literate. Must be registered by ERB as Graduate Engineer.

REMUNERATION Salary Scale: SMC. 5
