JOB DETAILS:
Environmental Health Officer Class II

Qualifications of applicants
Must have a first degree in Community Health or Health and Environment from the College recognized by the Revolutionary Government of Zanzibar.
Must have completed practical training (internship)

Responsibilities
• Identify health and environmental factors in the community
• Collecting, storing, analyzing and processing Health information and environment in society.
• Making an assessment on the need for Health services and the environment in society
• Implementing standards (sanitation and hygiene standards) in the community
• To sensitize the community on food and water safety
• Conduct regular inspections at various locations social
• Controlling insects and pests that cause infection diseases in society.
• Examining construction maps before and after construction to control residences that do not comply with the rules of Health and the environment in the community
• Issuing a permit to live after the house is finished being built
• Conducting inspections of hotels, lodges and businesses
• To implement the laws concerning the Health of the community and the environment
• Directing the work of the Health officers under him
• Educate the community on methods to protect yourself and fight the outbreak of diseases
• Providing health education to the community
