Expression of Interest for Agitators for the Nyanzaga Gold Project tenders at Sotta Mining Corporation Limited (Sotta)

Sotta Mining Corporation Limited (Sotta) is a Tanzanian incorporated joint venture company, 84% owned by Perseus Mining Limited (Perseus) and 16% by the Government of Tanzania. Sotta is developing the Nyanzaga Gold Project, located in the southern area of the Lake Victoria Gold Fields in north-western Tanzania, approximately 60 km southwest of Mwanza in the Sengerema District within the Mwanza Region.

Sotta is in the process of developing the project, which includes the design and build of a gold processing plant, open pit mine, and associated infrastructure. As part of this project, Sotta is seeking Expression of Interest (EOI) for the supply of Agitators under EOI reference EOI/NGP/5008/050.

Scope of Work

Expression of Interest Compliance Criteria
Interested companies are invited to submit an Expression of Interest addressing the following compliance criteria:
a) Detailed company information, including ownership (provide shareholder %), organizational structure, and details of any Tanzanian operating entity. Provide evidence of local content compliance with the Tanzania Mining Commission or verification of eligibility to apply.

b) Confirmation of the entity’s ability to establish an entity that is local content compliant in accordance with the Tanzanian Mining Act, Mining (Local Content) Regulations 2018, and any subsequent amendments.

c) Details of current packages in process and evidence of successful delivery of similar scope of work to the mining industry over the last 10 years, including:
i. Name of the project and client.
ii. Brief scope of work.
iii. Value of scope of work (indicate applicable currency).
iv. Delivery or installation date of scope of work.
v. Contact details of a minimum of three (3) references for each project.

d) If applicable, details of the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) the company will engage with for delivery of the scope of work, including:
i. Name of the OEM.
ii. Contact details of the company’s liaison officer at the OEM or the OEM’s representative covering the Tanzanian market.

e) A copy of the company’s sample Quality Management Plan, including a copy of valid ISO 9001:2015 accreditation.

f) A copy of audited financial reports to verify the company’s financial capacity to deliver the scope of work.

g) Ability to deliver an agitator package for slurry and solution mixtures, with the largest agitators being for CIL tanks approximately 15.88m x 17.4m height with the agitator motor size of approximately 185kW.

h) Ability to execute and provide calculations for 3rd party review for 3D finite element stress analysis of agitator and gearbox shafts
i) Ability to demonstrate a sound understanding of fluid dynamics and provide computational fluid dynamic (CFD) designs for solids suspension and high shear gas dispersion agitation.

j) Proven, mine specification heavy-duty design for long life and reliable operation.

Deadline for Submission: Tuesday, 11th February 2025
Late submissions will not be considered.
Evaluation: Expression of Interest submissions will be evaluated based on the information submitted in relation to the Expression of Interest Compliance Criteria.
