JOB DETAILS:
Job Purpose
To develop Mill’s manufacturing strategy with a view towards long term growth, optimal efficiency and sustainability. Ensure production targets are met by delivering on manufacturing and packing plan as part of S&OP while managing budget and achieving cost synergies.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities
• Contribute to business strategy development, goals, and KPIs.
• Align manufacturing performance across disciplines to meet business goals and KPIs.
• Plan and set shift, daily, weekly, and monthly performance targets with the team.
• Identify and address areas of loss, waste, or flow barriers to drive improvements.
• Drive performance management, rewarding strong performance and managing consequences.
• Promote operational and maintenance excellence, optimizing profitability through informed decisions.
• Collaborate with group counterparts to identify and embed optimization opportunities.
• Ensure alignment with commercial requirements and drive effective supply-side planning.
• Plan and manage capital projects to meet economic and community outcomes.
• Implement continuous improvement practices, ensuring tools and techniques are applied.
• Ensure effective team communication processes for stable operations and sustained performance.
• Build leadership talent through coaching, mentoring, and guidance.
• Adhere to company policies, including SHERQ, Competition Law, and Anti-Bribery and Corruption (ABC).

Job Qualification and Experience
• Chemical, Electrical, Mechanical Engineering or Science Degree or equivalent
• Business / Financial qualification would be an advantage
• 10 years in Manufacturing (production and/or maintenance)
• Good business acumen and manufacturing expertise with ability to anticipate, interpret and respond to changes impacting on functional area
• Strong track record in management and leadership

Terms of Service: The successful candidate will be engaged on a Permanent Contract.
