The company is also the main supplier of transmission poles in Tanzania. Sao Hill Industries Ltd also operates two state-of-the-art timber treatment plants.

Qualifications and Experience:
The successful candidate shall have:

• The candidates must have recently graduated or graduated not earlier than June 2016.
  

Duties

Foresters

• Support implementing clear felling operations to ensure maximum recovery of high- grade timber through optimizing log conversion.
  
• To assist in Auditing and enforcing the maintenance and upkeep of all equipment’s.
  
• Support in Monitoring and analysing machine productivities and fuel consumptions.
  
• To assist in Developing and implementing harvesting plans to enhance overall efficiency in machine utilisation and productivity
  
• Assist in Managing environmental and safety issues for the plantation in line with set company procedures, national and international standards.
  
• Assist in designing and implementation of Annual Plan of Operation (APO).
  
• Support execution and enforcement of environmental guidelines and procedures.
  
• Assist the training subordinates.
  
• Assist compiling daily, weekly and monthly reports.
  
• Assist in Management of company assets.
  
• Assist in making sure that the organisation’s objectives are met.
  
• Assisting in carrying out internal auditing
  
• Assisting in implementation of quality control procedures and processes to ensure the companies achieves the required level of compliance at all times
  
• Assist in developing and implement Company’s Guidelines and Procedures.
  
• To Assist in carrying out field observation to all sections and report the non-compliances so that appropriate action can be taken
  
• Assist to supervise and organise the mapping and inventory team’s tools and equipment in the plantations.
  
• Assist in making follow-up on all silviculture activities in the forest plantations as guided up by Annual Plan of Operation (APO)
  
• Assist in Verification, measurement, compilation and reporting of daily field activities into the Micro forest database.
  
• Any other related duties as may be assigned to you by Plantation Manager.
