Job Summary:
Tabono on behalf of our esteemed client, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Foundation Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate must have a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field and a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in foundation design, geotechnical engineering, and construction. The Foundation Engineer will be responsible for designing, analyzing, and overseeing foundation projects, ensuring structural integrity and compliance with industry standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and analyze foundation structures, including shallow and deep foundations, piles, and retaining walls.
- Conduct geotechnical investigations, soil testing, and site assessments to determine suitable foundation solutions.
- Prepare detailed reports, technical drawings, and specifications for foundation designs.
- Collaborate with project managers, architects, and construction teams to ensure proper implementation of foundation designs.
- Provide engineering solutions to address soil settlement, foundation failures, and ground stability issues.
- Ensure compliance with local building codes, industry regulations, and environmental standards.
- Conduct structural load calculations and risk assessments for foundation systems.
- Supervise and inspect construction sites to ensure adherence to engineering plans and quality standards.
- Stay updated with advancements in geotechnical engineering, foundation technologies, and construction methodologies.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and construction teams.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in foundation design, soil mechanics, and geotechnical engineering.
- Professional Engineer (PE) or Chartered Engineer (CEng) certification is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of structural and geotechnical engineering principles.
- Proficiency in engineering software such as AutoCAD, PLAXIS, SAP2000, or similar tools.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
