Overall Role:
As a Front End Software Developer at iTrust Finance, the incumbent will be expected to drive the development of user-facing applications that are not only visually appealing but also fast, intuitive, and scalable. The incumbent will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the organisation’s technology stands at the forefront of the industry, helping to reinforce the organisation’s position as a financial powerhouse.

The incumbent’s expertise in the latest front-end technologies will be critical in driving product innovation and enhancing the customer journey across the organisation’s digital platforms. To this end, the incumbent will be expected to support the organization’s business objectives by providing robust, scalable, and secure customer facing application solutions.

Responsibilities:
• Develop and maintain the front-end of mobile and web applications using the latest frameworks and tools.
• Collaborate closely with back-end developers and designers to implement features that ensure smooth functionality and aesthetic appeal.
• Optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability.
• Ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs and transform them into functional, interactive applications.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure quality standards and compliance with the best practices.
• Stay updated on emerging technologies and propose innovative solutions to enhance front-end development processes.
• Participate in the entire development lifecycle, focusing on coding, testing, debugging, and troubleshooting.
• Assume responsibility for the implementation, configuration and ongoing support of software applications whether in-house or outsourced software.
• Assess what updates are needed for each institution’s software to ensure efficient use security.
• Work with software vendors to identify and solve problems of our institution software applications.
• Maintain thorough documentation for all front-end codebases and processes, ensuring future scalability, maintainability, and ease of collaboration.
• Implement and maintain software security so that business, staff data, and communications are secure.
• Maintain an effective system of communication between the organization’s various offices.
• Manage SIT, UAT & production environments for resilient implementation.
• Work hand in hand with the back-end team to ensure smooth operations of ICT systems are achieved.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Core qualifications and competencies
• A bachelor’s degree in computer science.
• 3+ years of work experience in a related field.
• Proficiency in modern web technologies, including HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript (ES6+), flutter, and front-end frameworks like React, Vue.js, or Angular.
• Strong knowledge on tools on mobile applications development such as Flutter, React Familiarity with mobile-first and responsive design principles.
• Experience with RESTful APIs and integrating front-end applications with back-end services.
• Knowledge of version control systems such as Git.
• Strong understanding of web performance optimization techniques.
• Familiarity with design tools like Figma, Adobe XD, or Sketch.
• Strong emphasis on documentation practices, ensuring maintainable and scalable code.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• A self-motivated daily practice individual who likes to update him/herself with current issues on software development.
