Job Description
Responsibilities:
• Develops, implements, and evaluates HR strategies, policies, procedures, and programs to align with organisational objectives and comply with legal requirements
• Provides leadership and guidance to the HR team, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement
• Oversees performance management processes, including goal setting, performance evaluations, and development planning, to foster a high-performance culture
• Stay updated on Tanzania labour laws, regulations, and industry best practices
• Ensures compliance with all applicable laws and regulations
• Leads and manages the recruitment, selection, and on boarding process to attract and hire talented professionals
• Identifies and addresses training and development needs of the workforce
• Designs and implements training programs to enhance employee skills and competencies
• Identifies and develops high-potential employees for future leadership roles
• Facilitates professional development opportunities for employees
• Oversees employee relations, including handling grievances and disciplinary processes
• Implements initiatives to improve employee morale, satisfaction, and productivity
• Develop and champion rewards and recognition schemes for the organisation
• Implements a succession planning framework to ensure a smooth transition of leadership
• Identifies areas for improvement and implements changes to enhance HR service delivery
• Collaborates with other departments to ensure a cohesive and efficient work environment
• Collaborates with senior leadership to develop workforce plans and talent management strategies to address current and future organisational needs
• Ensures timely and successful completion of projects within budget and scope
• Prepares regular reports on HR metrics to provide insights into the workforce and HR performance
• Monitors HR metrics and trends to identify areas for improvement and makes data-driven recommendations to enhance HR effectiveness and efficiency
Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management or related field; Master’s degree preferred
• 7+ years of progressive experience in HR roles, with at least 3 years in a managerial capacity
• Has led an HR team of over 5 staff, and worked in an organisation of over 250 staff
• Strong knowledge of Tanzania employment laws and regulations
• Demonstrated leadership and decision-making abilities
