JOB DETAILS:
Role Overview:
The HR Officer will be based at the mining site (camp) located in Mopogoro village, Chunya (Mbeya Region) and will play a critical role in managing and supervising staff, ensuring compliance with HR policies, and monitoring employee performance, attendance, and welfare. This position requires close collaboration with the HR Manager, who will provide guidance and oversight. The HR Officer will report directly to the HR Manager and Senior Management as required.

Key Responsibilities:
• Oversee staff presence at the mining site and ensure all employees adhere to assigned work schedules.
• Monitor time of arrival at the plant/place of work and departure times to ensure compliance with working hours.
• Ensure accurate recording and reporting of staff attendance, absenteeism, punctuality, working hours, overtime, disciplinary actions and holiday entitlements.
• Ensure all employees take their allocated holidays in accordance with company policies.
• Manage employee performance, resolve workplace issues, and maintain morale.
• Communicate performance-related concerns and any HR-related issues or disputes to the HR Manager and Senior Management.
• Act as the on-site representative for the HR Manager, ensuring smooth communication between the site and head office
• Work closely with the HR Manager, receiving training and guidance to ensure tasks are executed effectively.
• Implement HR processes and procedures as directed by the HR Manager.
• Support the implementation and adherence of workplace health and safety policies, ensuring compliance by all employees.
• Assist in onboarding of new site employees, ensuring proper documentation and adherence to employment policies.
• Conduct site orientation for new hires, focusing on safety, company policies, and job expectations.
• Provide detailed reports to the HR Manager and Senior Management upon request.
• Ensure confidentiality and security of all HR documentation and records.
• Perform other related duties and tasks as needed within the processing plant and mining site as assigned by HR Manager or Senior Management.
