JOB DETAILS:
  The Teofilo Kisanji University (TEKU) would like to recruit the following members of staff:-
INTERNAL AUDITOR (1 POST) Duty
Station: TEKU
Mbeya Reports to: The Vice Chancellor..

Education Qualifications: He/she must have a minimum of Advanced Diploma/Bachelor Degree in the specialized field and registered with NBAA as Authorized/ Certified Auditor holding a CPA (T), ACCA, ACA or ICMA

Competences:
• Strong oral communication and presentation skills in English.
• Competence in teaching at the University level.
• Demonstrated self-management.
• Ability to deliver in time.
• Professional integrity.

Duties and Responsibility
• Executes Audit programmes for: insurance covers and payments, capital expenditure, investments accounts, and special grant.
• Carries out systems audit.
• Ensures that there is compliance with established policies, procedures, controls and other regulations.
• Detects fraud, theft and waste of any kind of assets.
• Supervises auditing expenditure, revenue, salaries and students’ bursaries.
• Assists in review of measures for safeguarding assets and inventories.
• Reviews and appraises soundness of financial and operating controls.
• Advises on unit cost to minimize unnecessary expenses.
• Advises on the best use of University resources.
• Performs any other related duties as may be assigned by one’s reporting officer.

Work experience: At least three (3) years relevant working experience in a similar/related position.

Remuneration: An attractive remuneration package will be offered to the right candidates in accordance with the University Scheme of Service and its salary scales
