Invitation for Expression of Interest – Pre-Qualification of Suppliers for the Supply and Delivery of Various Major Components

I. INTRODUCTION
Geita Gold Mining Limited (“The Company”), a subsidiary of AngloGold Ashanti (“AGA”), is located in north-western Tanzania, in the Lake Victoria goldfields of the Geita region, approximately 5 km from Geita town. The Company is in the process of pre-qualifying suppliers for the supply and delivery of major components and is inviting eligible and interested applicants to submit expressions of interest (EOI) as detailed below.

NB: The documents requested below must be submitted when expressing interest in this supply. Shortlisted companies will be subjected to the AngloGold Ashanti vetting process.

II. INFORMATION REQUIRED
PRE-QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

Commercial:
• Company Profile and Updated Organogram
• Company Code of Conduct and Ethics
• Copy of Current Business License
• Copy of Certificate of Incorporation, the most recent BRELA search, and the latest BRELA application of annual return.
• Tax Clearance Certificate (TCC), TIN Certificate, and VAT certificate
• Copy of Company Memorandum and Articles of Association
• Approved Letter for Local Content Plan. Compliance with Mining Act

Financial Position & Terms of Trade:
• Applicants’ audited financial statements for the latest three years (2021, 2022, 2023)
• Bank Statements of Applicants’ active bank accounts for the past 6 months

Safety and Environmental Management Systems:
• OSHA Compliance Certificate
• Copy of Workers’ Compensation Fund Certificate
• Environmental Compliance Certificate
• Safety and Environmental Policy

Other Policies:
• Gifts / Hospitality / Sponsorship Policy / Procedure
• Policies / Procedures dealing with Forced and Child Labor
• Policies / Procedures dealing with Abuse, Discrimination, and Harassment
• Grievance Procedure
• Human Rights Policy / Procedure / Program

Past Experience:
• At least 3 names of the applicant’s clients, value, and duration of contracts entered with clients in the past two years (must be listed)

III. TECHNICAL CRITERIA

Ability and evidence to carry warranties for the components to be supplied
Ability to provide onsite commissioning of components and after-sales technical support.
Evidence of technical experience and proof of competent personnel.
Ability to supply CAT Genuine components as per OEM Specs with proof of previous supply history of CAT genuine parts.
Proof of dealership of CAT parts supply.

IV. SUBMISSION INSTRUCTIONS
Interested applicants must submit their Expression of Interest Letters (“LOI”) by referring to the respective reference number and component category in the subject of the email. Applicants must also submit supporting information to the Company, which states the full name, address, telephone, and e-mail address of the company, name of the principal contact, and be signed by an authorized representative.

All LOIs and supporting documentation (in PDF format) must be submitted to the Company via e-mail at geita.eoi@anglogoldashanti.com without copying any individual from the Company. Submissions must be received no later than 8:30 AM (EAT) on 27th November 2024 (the “LOI Submission Deadline”). EOI submissions should not exceed 150MB per email. In case the email size exceeds 150MB, applicants must split the submission into multiple emails.

V. NOTIFICATION OF SHORTLISTING
Shortlisted Applicants will be notified within forty-five (45) calendar days from the submission deadline. Applicants not contacted within this time frame should consider themselves unsuccessful.
