Background

Karibu Tanzania Organization (KTO) is a dynamic national-level non-Governmental Organization (NGO), igniting the flames of education and community development across Tanzania. As a formidable umbrella organization, KTO unites the 55 Folk Development Colleges (FDCs) throughout the country, transforming them into beacons of progress and empowerment.

Established in 1990s through a powerful collaboration between Tanzanian Folk Development Colleges (FDCs) and Swedish Folk high schools, KTO embodies the spirit of global solidarity.

Through close cooperation with the Ministry of Education, Science, and Technology (MoEST), other related Ministries, and esteemed national and international partners, KTO nationwide network enables it to reach out to countless individuals, fostering education, and uplifting communities.

Karibu Tanzania Organization (KTO) invites eligible and qualified transport service providers to submit tenders for the transportation of items from Dar es Salaam to Zanzibar. This invitation is for the provision of reliable, timely, and safe transport services for the organization’s goods.

Scope of Work:

• Transportation of goods and materials from Dar es Salaam to Zanzibar.
• The successful service provider will be responsible for the safe loading, transportation, and unloading of items.
• The items to be transported will include office supplies, equipment, and other
• organizational goods.

Tender Requirements:

1. Company Profile: A brief overview of the service provider, including past experience in transporting goods between Dar es Salaam and Zanzibar.
2. Transport Details: Details of available vehicles, including capacity, type, and condition.
3. Insurance Coverage: Proof of insurance for goods in transit.
4. Pricing: A detailed price list for the transportation service, including any additional costs (e.g., fuel, tolls, etc.).
5. References: Contact details of at least two previous clients who can speak to the service provider’s performance.

• Tenders should be submitted through info@kaributanzania.or.tz, email with subject “Tender for Transport Services – Dar es Salaam to Zanzibar”
• The deadline for submission is Thursday 13^th February 2025 at 12.00 PM.

Late submissions or incomplete tenders will not be considered.

Karibu Tanzania Organization reserves the right to accept or reject any tender without assigning reasons.
