Job Description
POSITION-MAINTENANCE ENGINEER-MECHANICAL
REPORT TO: HOD.

RESPONSIBILITIES
• Ensure work place safety and follow all safety precautions as per
company and OSHA guidelines.
• Provide clear Work Instructions to all field Technicians and train
junior maintenance staff to enhance their skills and knowledge in
plant maintenance.
• Prepare maintenance schedule and job planning for the routine
maintenance and major maintenance stoppages
• Assist in Spares and Consumable Planning. Ensure that required
items are available as per planning.
• Identify the root cause of equipment break down and implement
corrective actions/ preventive actions to prevent recurrence.
• Conduct Periodic & scheduled inspection of all equipment and
preventive maintenance on plant equipment to identify potential
issues and address them proactively.
• Maintain accurate documentation of equipment history records &
maintenance activities including condition monitoring & various
maintenance request in CMMS.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and standards during
maintenance activities including line clearance/tag out/Work to
permit procedures and PPEs usage.
• Maintenance knowledge about rotating equipment such as water &
oil pumps, Gearboxes, compressors, Fans, Blowers, Steam turbine
& Generator

Essential skills required
• Maintenance knowledge about rotating equipment such as water &
oil pumps, Gearboxes, compressors, Fans, Blowers, Steam turbine
& Generator
• Good knowledge in computerized maintenance management
system Basic knowledge of oils and lubricants used in industrial
applications.
• Reliable, committed and flexible. Must be willing to adapt to
changing priorities
• Basic knowledge of maintenance of rotating equipment like fans,
blowers, air compressors, belt conveyors, anti-friction bearings.

EDUCATION
• Bachelor Degree in Mechanical engineering
EXPERIENCE
• Minimum 2 years of field experience in maintenance of large power generation plant or boilers
