Position Description
North Mara Gold Mine Limited is seeking to recruit Maintenance Scheduler to join and grow their team. You will be expected to align to the Barrick DNA and to operate within our mining assets with our best people teams. You will contribute in a safe and cost-effective manner to achieve targets in accordance with Mine Safety Standards, Policies and Procedures and ensure daily targets are met.

About North Mara
The North Mara gold mine is located in north-west Tanzania in the Tarime district of the Mara region. It is around 100 kilometres east of Lake Victoria and 20 kilometres south of the Kenyan border.

North Mara started commercial production in 2002. The mine is a combined open pit and underground operation from two deposits, Gokona (underground) and Nyabigena (open pit).

Responsibilities
1. Ensure team member in the plant adhere to safety regulations and use the correct PPE.
2. Report all Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) issues via an incident report.
3. Monitor the execution of work of pertaining to critical information that must be recorded for future reference.
4. Ensure proper scheduling of planned jobs for carrying out preventive maintenance.
5. Ensure all non-compliance are reported to planning section and necessary corrective and preventive action to be taken.
6. Adhere to workplace safety policies, regulations and compliances.
7. Formulates weekly schedule of estimated jobs and assigns to appropriate section; coordinates with material control on material status.
8. Optimize maintenance performance by using best practices maintenance planning and scheduling techniques and Pronto or other maintenance management system.
9. Achieve department and organization objectives.
10. Report status for shutdown and preventive maintenance to supervisor.
11. Review, verify, and follow up all completed work orders.
12. Ensure all completed work orders are closed off for historical review.
13. Continual improvement initiative and cost control measures.
14. Maintaining a clean and environmental safe work area, apply 5S principle.
15. Perform any task as instructed by report line supervisor.
16. Maintains continuity among work teams by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs.
17. Proactively identifying and acting on plant performance deviation.

Qualification requirements
1. Technical/ Vocational School, Apprenticeship training, on-the-job training (FTC, VETA, IMTT Trade Test or its Equivalent).
2. Recognized Practical qualifications.

Experience and Competencies needed
1. Minimum experience of two (2) years in maintenance and planning experience
2. Experience in a mining environment is highly desirable
3. Excellent safety record.
4. Practical skills in maintenance practices and engineering knowledge.
5. SAP (System Applications and Products in Data Processing) knowledge will be considered as one of the priorities
